On June 3rd - 5th, 2011, Brasov's central square - Piata Sfatului, will host the third edition of the FatzaDa Art Festival, a socio-cultural and artistic project, initiated by "Depoul de Artă Urbană" (Urban Art Depot) and Brasov City Hall. The project has the aim to promote and preserve the architectural cultural heritage and its associated values, through public events.

During the three days of the festival, Piata Sfatului will host street theater and video projections of documentary films, skateboard contests, workshops in architecture, artistic activities with children's participation, graffiti-work in progress and an open air photo exhibition of several photographers from Romania, France, Italy and USA.

Jazz, funk, rock and electro bands from Romania and USA will play for the wide public every evening of the festival.

What is "fatzaDa"?

The face of the city, the faces of its inhabitants: bright, wrinkled, warm, sad, with or without personality, as they were molded by history and life. People’s faces find a correspondence in the façades of the cities that they inhabit. The two reflect each other and influence each other.
